Every Jetta comes complete with 'active' safety features such as Electronic Stabilisation Program (ESP) that detects critical situation. The ESP takes action by braking individual wheels and reducing the engine's power output, helping to keep the vehicle under control. ESP is supported by Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Brake Assist with recognises an emergency braking situation and increases the braking effort automatically. Electronic Brake-pressure Distribution (EBD) regulates the ratio of front/rear break pressure to ensure each wheel is braked optimally.
